Synopsis

Adolescence is a time of discovery, but it is also a period of absolute confusion. The odds were stacked against Ramón from the very beginning. Moving from place to place with his parents meant he was always an outsider, and to keep himself sane, he lived by a strict mantra: Don't Fight, Don't Snitch and Don't Cry.

When Ramón and his family settle in Seville, Ramón tries - as always - to stick to the shadows. His attempts to keep quiet only expose him more, and he becomes victim to the unwanted attention of the school's most notorious crowd. Backed against a wall, Ramón is forced to break the first rule of his mantra. This sets in full swing a chain of events that opens Ramón's eyes to an entirely new world.

Though in the throes of adolescent turmoil, Ramón's life finally seems to be taking root - yet the world around him is experiencing more upheaval than ever before. As the death of dictator Franco sends shockwaves throughout Spain, the hairline cracks of rebellion and independence begin to appear.

A budding romance, a covert religion teacher and a mythical Native Indian (not to mention the discovery of some exquisite French Playboy magazines!) all collide in Ramón's world as he ultimately learns that one of the most important and enduring things in life is friendship.
