Synopsis

Starring Peter Fonda and Kris Kristofferson, WOOLY BOYS is a contemporary family film set in the heart of the North Dakota Badlands that tells the comedic and moving story of two cantankerous sheep ranchers, Stoney (Peter Fonda) and Shuck (Kris Kristofferson).

Facing ill health, Stoney is tricked by his estranged daughter Kate (Robin Dearden) into traveling from his North Dakota Badlands ranch to Minneapolis where he reconnects with his over-programmed, over-protected teenage grandson Charles (Joe Mazzello).

Knowing that his ranching partner has been hospitalized, Shuck makes his way to Minneapolis to free him. As they make their escape from the hospital, Stoney takes his unwilling grandson along and the three take a madcap journey back to the Badlands, with the FBI in hot pursuit. In the adventure, Charles discovers his family roots and what it means to be a "wooly boy."
