Synopsis
Meet local chat show host Harry McKee (Brendan Gleeson). A once loving husband, but now a drunken and unfaithful slob. His wife Ruth (Amanda Donohoe) is divorcing him and his kids won't even speak to him.
On his last night as a married man, Harry is beaten up. When he collapses at his court hearing, his wife and solicitor assume he is play-acting. but this is not one of Harry's infamous pranks, and he is rushed to hospital, while Ruth is furious that she is still legally 'Mrs McKee'. Harry eventually wakes from a week-long coma feeling it's been years - well 25 to be exact. He has lost his memory and forgotten everything since 1974. Inside his sagging middle-aged body, he feels 18, single and very naive. As Harry starts to recover physically, if not mentally, Ruth finds herself unwittingly remembering happier times with her soon to be ex-husband.
Although he doesn't know it, Harry has been given the chance to get back his life, his wife and self-respect - if only he could remember how it all went wrong. Why do his family hate him and who is the disgraced, crazed politician stalking him? As he begins to recall the pieces of his past, Harry attempts to persuade Ruth to fall in love with him again and resurrect his career. But he's only got two weeks until the next divorce hearing when he will be homeless and clueless.
But Harry's problem is he can't remember what he's forgotten.
