Synopsis

THE WARRIOR is a sweeping mythical adventure story about a lone warrior's spiritual journey from the deserts of Rajastan to the snow capped peaks of the Himalayas.

Lafcadia (Irfan Khan) is the head of a small band of warriors in the employ of a tyrannical lord. A mystical encounter leads him to reject his violent life, but this decision comes at a devastating personal cost.

Directed by newcomer Asif Kapadia (award winning short film THE SHEEP THIEF), and starring Irfan Khan, THE WARRIOR has already won many awards including the Grand Jury Prize at the Dinard Film Festival, The Best Cinematography Award at the San Sebastian Film Festival and the Sutherland Prize at the London Film Festival.
