Synopsis

An emotionally charged action-adventure story VERTICAL LIMIT is a high-adrenaline tale of a young climber Peter Garrett (Chris O'Donnell) and his sister Annie (Robin Tunney - END OF DAYS). Garrett's life is devastated after a climbing accident in which he was forced to cut the rope holding his father in order to save Annie and himself. Annie hasn't forgiven him and when they meet after three years of estrangement, he must climb K2, the world's second highest peak and most feared mountain, to save her and her summit team in a race against time.

Martin Campbell, the celebrated director of MASK OF ZORRO and GOLDEN EYE delivers high-voltage action and exhilarating suspense in a film that pits man against his own limitations and the awesome power of nature's uncontrollable elements. Although some of the film was shot in Pakistan on the real K2, most of the action was filmed on the breathtaking Mt Cook in New Zealand.
