Synopsis

Written and directed by French filmmaker Francis Veber, THE VALET is his latest comedy and follows his previous successes with THE CLOSET, SHUT UP! and THE DINNER GAME.

Married billionaire Pierre Levasseur (Daniel Auteuil) is caught on camera out on a date with his supermodel mistress Elena Simonsen (Alice Taglioni) by an intrusive papparazzo. Trying to worm his way out of a tricky situation and avoid an expensive divorce, he lies to his wife, Christine (Kristen Scott Thomas), by claiming that another man who was also caught in the photo is in fact Elena's boyfriend, not him!

He emphatically argues that he is just an innocent passer-by he tracks down this other stranger - parking valet François Pignon (Gad Elmaleh). Somehow Pierre has to convince the beautiful Elena to go and live with François so that it will appear his wife's accusations are unfounded.
