Synopsis

In URBANIA, writer/director Jon Shear has created a tale of urban life in which a constantly shifting sense of reality is at once a challenge and a salvation. Charlie (Dan Futterman) has experienced a trauma that has thrown his life into turmoil and the boundaries that had given his life order have shifted.

One night, Charlie notices a stranger on the street and begins to believe that he holds the key to Charlie's recovery. As Charlie travels the city in an attempt to find this stranger, he meets old friends and makes new acquaintances. Each of these people have their own mysterious tale to tell which reveals their strange connection to Charlie and each other. When Charlie finally meets the object of his fascination, all is not what is seems; and the promise of a sly romance turns into something with much darker implications.
