Synopsis

UNDER THE SUN is set in the mid 1950's and is the story of a middle-aged farmer who lives in rural Sweden and leads a solitary existence apart from one friend who helps out with some of the work on the farm. When he decides to hire a housekeeper however his whole life changes and the woman he hires sweeps him off his feet. Directed by Colin Nutley, UNDER THE SUN has been nominated as Best Foreign Film for the year 2000 Academy Awards.
