Synopsis

On a small Caribbean island a lawyer Henry Hearst (Gene Hackman) finds himself the suspect for the murder of a teenage girl whose body he found on his morning run. Though he reported the discovery of the body to the police, Capt. Victor Benezet (Morgan Freeman) questions him the next day and an intense psychological thriller unfolds in a battle of wills and tests the strength of the nerves between the two. This is a remake of Claude Miller's French film GARDE A VUE (1981).
