Synopsis

From acclaimed director Kim Ki-Duk (3-IRON) comes an intense examination of modern culture's obsession with youthful beauty and unattainable physical perfection. Attractive Seh-hee (Ji-Yeon Park) is having problems with her boyfriend of two years, Ji-woo (Jung-woo Ha). Despite being faithful to his fiancee, Ji-woo eyes other women and, in bed, only seems to get excited at the thought of having sex with other partners.

Feeling inadequate and consumed with jealousy, Seh-hee decides to dramatically change her look and books herself into a plastic surgery clinic. Her plan is to become a new woman so she disappears without trace for six months leaving Ji-woo hurt and confused.

When all the scars have healed, Seh-hee (now calling herself See-hee), takes a job as a waitress at the coffee shop Ji-woo regularly uses and tries to seduce him. When See-hee's plan doesn't succeed because Ji-woo is still very much in love with his former girlfriend who vanished without word, jealousy again takes hold of her...

Director Kim's unpredictable genius takes a fashionable issue to extremes in order to probe the dark, jealous core of a relationship gone wrong.
