Synopsis

Inspired by director, Elia Suleiman’s father’s private diaries and his mother’s letters to family members who were forced to leave the country, THE TIME THAT REMAINS is a semi-autobiographical film. Opening from when his father was a resistance fighter in 1948 to the present, the film is in four episodes.

A combination of the director’s intimate memories of them and with them, the film attempts to portray the daily life of Palestinians who remained. Living as a minority in their own homeland, they were known as "Israeli-Arabs".
