Synopsis
A comedy about two ordinary people, but one extraordinary deal.
1... Was an Accident
2... Was Bad Luck
3... Was his chance of a lifetime!
London tube driver Paul Callow (Mackenzie Crook) has had two 'one-unders' recently, where he accidentally ran the victims down with his train. Traumatized but completely blameless, he then finds out about the 'Three and Out' rule: three fatal accidents within a month and you're out of a job... but with a huge pay off!
What do you do? Take trauma counselling and drive very, very carefully? Or do you seek out a third 'one-under', take the cash, pay off your debts and retire to a Scottish idyll to write your novel?
THREE AND OUT combines comedic capers and painfully funny truths about how far we would go to change our lives. The movie is directed by first time helmer, Jonathan Gershfield, making the move into features after a distinguished career in TV, where he directed comedies such as BIG TRAIN, DEAD RINGERS and TWISTED TALES. It stars Mackenzie Crook, Colm Meaney, Gemma Arterton, Imelda Staunton, Sir Antony Sher and Gary Lewis.
