Synopsis

When 28 year-old Margot (Michelle Williams) meets Daniel (Luke Kirby), they have an immediate and intense connection. Margot suppresses her sudden attraction; as she is happily married to Lou (Seth Rogen), a cookbook writer.

However, when Margot discovers Daniel is a neighbour, the certainty about her domestic life disintegrates. As the swelteringly hot Toronto summer takes hold, she and Daniel steal moments, their eroticism heightened by their restraint.

The movie leads its audience, laughing, through the familiar, but uncharted question of what long term relationships do to love, sex, and our images of ourselves.

Set in director Sarah Polley’s hometown of Toronto, TAKE THIS WALTZ stars Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Luke Kirby, and Sarah Silverman.
