Synopsis

Rose Lorkowski (Amy Adams) is a 30-something single mom, who had the world at her feet at high school as the cheerleader captain, now finds herself a maid. Her sister, Norah (Emily Blunt) still lives at home with their dad Joe (Alan Arkin) a salesman, who has never managed to find success in any of his business schemes.

Driven by her determination to afford a better school for her young son, Rose persuades Norah to join her in her business venture - a crime scene clean-up company. As the work flows in, the sisters are rushed off their feet clearing up after murders, suicides and other specialized situations.

The sisters begin to turn their lives around and develop a newfound sibling bond as their closeness and respect for each other grows, not to mention their unlikely business idea which steadily flourishes.
