Synopsis

Based on the explosive screenplay by legendary crime writer James Ellroy (LA Confidential), Street Kings tells the story of maverick LAPD veteran Tom Ludlow (Reeves, Point Break, Speed, The Matrix trilogy), a cop living life on the edge and struggling to come to terms with the death of his wife. As a key player within a corrupt elite of officers, Ludlow's excesses are covered at every turn by his shady Captain, Jack Wander (Whitaker, Last King of Scotland, Vantage Point) allowing him to descend further into a deadly underworld of violent street crime.
Implicated in the gangland killing of his former partner Ludlow finds his untouchable status starting to wane and at the mercy of unrelenting internal investigator, Captain James Biggs (Hugh Laurie, Stuart Little, House). Turning against the corrupt force he has been ensconced in his entire career Ludlow, and new ally Detective Paul Diskant (Chris Evans, Fantastic Four, Sunshine), are forced deep undercover with Captain Biggs hot on their trail...
