Synopsis

SPRING FORWARD chronicles the burgeoning friendship between a young ex-con Paul (Liev Schreiber) and his new work partner Murph (Ned Beatty), a veteran municipal employee facing retirement .The film begins the day Paul is paroled from jail for holding up a Dunkin' Donut in a moment of financial desperation. He gets a fresh start with a parks and recreation job in a small New England town. Unfolding through seven real time episodes set against the backdrop of the changing seasons and shot in sequence over the course of a year, SPRING FORWARD explores the profound way each man changes the other's perspective on life.
