Synopsis

The debut feature film from director Gjergj Xhuvani SLOGANS is a deliciously sardonic account of the effects of party dogma on a small Albanian village in the 70s. The story centres on an idealistic, young biology teacher from the capital Tirana who arrives at a small mountainous village to start in a new teaching position and soon learns how controlling the local Communist Party rep is pervading into practically every part of the villagers' lives.
