Synopsis

Set in Hollywood during the late 1920s at the time of Hollywood's early sound era, the story is about those who can change and adapt to the "talkies" as Don Lockwood (Gene Kelly) can, as opposed to Lina Lamont (Jean Hagen) a dim witted movie star who is vocally challenged. Gene Kelly is an actor, director, choreographer and dancer, and is well matched by Debbie Reynolds who plays Kathy Seldon. Donald O'Connor also makes a significant contribution to the movie as Cosmo Brown The musical has many famous and instantly recognisable songs in it, amongst others 'Singin' In The Rain', 'Make 'Em Laugh', 'All I Do Is Dream Of You' and 'You Were Meant For Me'.
