Synopsis

Starring Robert Downey Jr stars as Sherlock Holmes bringing the legendary detective to life as he has never been portrayed before. Jude Law stars as Holmes' trusted colleague and formidable ally, Watson - a doctor and war veteran. Rachel McAdams portrays the feisty and beautiful Irene Adler, who had a tempestuous relationship with Holmes, while Kelly Reilly plays Mary, Watson's love interest.

Based on an original story/comic book by Lionel Wigram, inspired by the classic tales of Sit Conan Doyle, the film finds Holmes and Watson pitted against a new adversary, the mysterious Blackwood (Mark Strong) in this fast moving actioner from British director Guy Ritchie (LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS). Battling this new nemesis, Holmes and Watson unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the whole country.
