Synopsis

Joe Tyler (Matthew Perry) might just have one of the worst jobs in the world, but he'll stop at nothing to do it. A down-and-dirty process server with ingenious methods of laying legal documents on everyone from mobsters to millionaires, Joe is a man determined to serve his man - or woman - at all costs.

Sara Moore (Elizabeth Hurley) is Joe's next victim. Her conniving partner, Gordon (Bruce Campbell), a wealthy cattle rancher with whom she has amassed a fortune, has hired Joe to serve Sara with papers that threaten to cut her off. While at first Sara might not know what's hit her, once the shock wears off, she's ready to strike back and go after what she's entitled to - the money she earned with Gordon, a sizeable chunk of his ego... and just maybe a shot at true love.

All Joe needs to do is rush across New York to serve the divorce papers to Sara, but when Joe arrives things don't quite go to plan. After a tip-off from a meddling Tony, Sara is already on the run and is stunned when Joe eventually catches up with her. Determined not to lose out on potential millions, she tries to bribe Joe with a hefty reward to serve the divorce papers to her husband instead, and keen to get revenge on Tony, he accepts. If Gordon serves Sara first, the divorce is processed in his native Texas and she will not be entitled to the fortune they share, but if she serves Gordan first, New York laws preside and Sara will receive a much bigger settlement.

What follows is a hilarious game of cat and mouse as the couple chase Gordon across Texas with Tony, and Gordon's private bodyguard, hot on their heels. As they race from one riotous situation to another, Joe and Sara become closer and closer and pretty soon romance blossoms.

To close the case, SERVING SARA is packed with DVD extras including a commentary by director Reginald Hudlin (Boomerang), behind-the-scenes feature, deleted scenes and outtakes. A heart-warming screwball comedy, SERVING SARA serves up a healthy dose of laughter, love and long distance mayhem!
