Synopsis

Set in the Asian East End of London, SECOND GENERATION is the story of a young Chinese girl, Lili (Hanayo), who runs away from an arranged marriage in Hong Kong and comes to London in search of rock-idol Bobby Gillespie. She manages to locate his flat but on knocking there is confronted by Jamal (Nitin Ganatra) an Indian commercials director who's recently moved in and takes a liking to her.

A young, inexperienced Japanese detective Go (Shigetomo Yutani) who's living in London is assigned by her father to track her down. Due to her nature Lili is unable to stay in one place or with a boyfriend for very long and this has Go weaving in and out of London's East End searching for clues. The longer Go looks for Lili, the more he falls under her spell until finally, he must choose between turning her in and keeping his business or falling in love.
