Synopsis

In the fourth sequel, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has just had a book on self-help published which she is currently promoting, and returns home to Woodsboro on the final leg of her book tour. She meets up again with Sheriff Dewey Riley (David Arquette) and Gale (Courteney Cox-Arquette), who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill (played by Emma Roberts) and her Aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell).

Unfortunately Sidney’s appearance in her hometown also causes her nemesis to reappear, namely the return of Ghostface (Dane Farwell). Sidney finds herself yet again in a life threatening situation, including Gale, Dewey, Jill, her friends, and danger lurks round every corner for the whole town of Woodsboro.

The newest instalment in the acclaimed franchise that ushered in a new wave of horror in the 1990s is written by series creator Kevin Williamson and directed by suspense master and director of the first trilogy, Wes Craven.
