Synopsis

Starring in their first feature film, the brave men and women of the Washoe County Sheriff's Department - the thin khaki line that keeps Reno, Nevada on the straight and narrow.

Based on the hit Comedy Central series, the deputies of the Reno Sheriff's Department attend a law enforcement convention in Miami Beach, where a motley crew is charged with protecting the city bio-terrorists attack convention.

RENO 911!: MIAMI showcases a shoddy team of Reno cops, called in to save the day after a terrorist attack disrupts a national police convention in Miami Beach during spring break. Meet Thomas Lennon's Lieutenant Jim Dangle; with his blonde streaks, candy-coloured g-string and trademark tiny shorts he leads his team of eccentric no-hopers to the law enforcement convention in Miami with the team asking: "Why did they invite us? Answer? "Because they invited everyone..."

Led by short shorts-lover Lieutenant Dangle, the deputies of the Reno Sheriffs Department try to save the day and protect the city. Writer/director Ben Garant (Night at the Museum) finds plenty of comic opportunities for gags, one liners and crazy situations which the Reno cop team handle in their own special way, normally causing utter chaos in every situation.

There's a crocodile in a swimming pool (animal disturbance), a beached whale (trouble at topless beach), a stripogram at a party with the mob (noise complaint) as well as many other hilariously unlikely scenarios.

With running gags throughout the film, the performances also include cameos from Danny De Vito and The Rock. The film is awash with frivolity that will have everyone laughing as the cops get themselves into every bad situation that you can imagine - and make it worse.
