Two teenage friends Gerry (Chris Beattie) and Sewell (Greg McLane) have the same dream which is to each have a season ticket to see and follow their football team Newcastle United. The trouble is that the season tickets are hard enough to obtain even if you have £1000 to buy them with. So for Gerry, who plays truant from school as often as he can and his unemployed mate Sewell, there dream looks as if it is disappearing over the horizon even faster.

However the two are determined to succeed and see their hero Alan Shearer play so they embark on a series of money making ventures from begging to gambling and have to overcome several hurdles along the way from a drunken father to a sick mother so will they achieve their goal?

The comedy PURELY BELTER comes from award-winning writer/director Mark Herman (BRASSED OFF, LITTLE VOICE) and is based on Jonathon Tullock's novel 'The Season Ticket'.
