Shot on location in the director's home town of Portland, Paranoid Park, the renowned skateboarding park, sets the scene for this adaptation of Blake Nelson's novel. The suspenseful drama revolves around a 16 year-old skateboarder, Alex (Cabe Nevins) who accidentally kills a security guard outside Paranoid Park.

Instead of confessing, he makes the decision to stay silent but his guilt weighs heavily on his conscience and becomes increasingly burdensome.

Winner of the 60th anniversary award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007.
