Synopsis

PANDORA'S BOX is a story about Lulu (Louise Brooks), a flower-seller, who tries to steal the watch of Dr Peter Schön (Fritz Kortner), a noted editor. Soon after this chance meeting she becomes his mistress and Schön supports her education and dance training.

Despite intending to marry Marie Adelaire, the daughter of a minister, Lulu decides to continue as Schön's mistress. However, when Schön finds Schigolch (Lulu's former lover played by Carl Gotz) in her apartment, he becomes jealous and rushes out. His son Alwa (Franz Lederer) tries to convince his father to marry Lulu, but Schon decides against it, as he is afraid it would ruin his career.

But Schon and Lulu's love will have a tragic ending and it is his son Alva who comes to Lulu's aid. Smitten by his love for Lulu, Alva to finds that his love for Lulu does not run smoothly...
