Synopsis

ONE PERFECT DAY is a story of self-discovery... a story that shows how fear and desire can destroy... and how hope and love can create. A celebration of the strength and courage it takes to triumph over tragedy.

Tommy Matisse (Dan Spielman) hears music in everything from the rhythm of the traffic to the beating heart of hi girlfriend Alysse (Leeanna Walsman). For him it is all "life's secret symphony".

A student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, Tommy is searching for inspiration to compose his own opera but as he retreats into his own world he is deaf to those close to him - his family including his sister Emma (Abbie Cornish) and Alysse.

Tragedy strikes when Emma overdoses on drugs while out partying with Alysse. When Tommy returns to Australia and Alysse tries to tell him the circumstances surrounding Emma's death, the truth is too much for Tommy to bear and his anger and pain tear them apart.

Tommy and Alysse embark on solitary journeys until their paths finally cross again...
