Synopsis
Tullybridge is a one-horse town in the arse-end of the Scottish Highlands. Nothing much happens in Tullybridge, until three friends, Fitz (Jamie Sives), Nellie (Iain Robertson) and Seany (Kevin McKidd) accidentally find gold. This discovery triggers a series of increasingly absurd and desperate events, made worse when their foolproof moneymaking scheme reaches the ears of Harry (Jimmy Chisholm), Chairman of the Curling Club and local Big Man! Harry wants in on this scheme and will stop at nothing to be involved.
ONE LAST CHANCE is a black comedy, starring a line up of hot young UK talent including Jamie Sives (WILBUR WANTS TO KILL HIMSELF, MEAN MACHINE), Kevin McKidd (TRAINSPOTTING, TOPSY TURVY, DOG SOLDIERS and forthcoming 16 YEARS OF ALCOHOL), Iain Robertson (SMALL FACES, THE DEBT COLLECTOR) and Neve McIntosh (THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES, PLUNKETT & MACLEANE). Acclaimed actor Dougray Scott (MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 2, ENIGMA, RIPLEY'S GAME) takes a featured role as well as an executive producer credit on the film, which marks the first feature from writer/director Stewart Svaasand. November 2002 saw the start of five weeks of principal photography on location in Morayshire and around Glasgow in Scotland.
