Synopsis
NOTHING LIKE THE HOLIDAYS sees the Rodriguez children returning home and descending on their parents, Edy (Alfred Molina) and Anna (Elizabeth Pena), for a family reunion in their Chicago home over Christmas.
Their oldest son Mauricio (John Leguizamo), a successful lawyer arrives with his career minded wife, Sarah (Debra Messing), a high-powered investment banker. In contrast, their oldest daughter Roxanna (Vanessa Ferlito) remains a struggling actress but is still intent on seeking the limelight. Even their youngest son Jesse (Freddy Rodriguez) is with them having returned early from a tour in Iraq through injury.
During this momentous reunion it is Anna, whose announcement of her intention to divorce their father, causes Mauricio, Roxanna and Jesse to each look at themselves and think what they want out of life an take more control of their future.
But when one of them reveals a true crisis, the familial bond returns...
