Synopsis
When the Museum of Natural History is closed for upgrades and renovations, the museum pieces are moved into federal storage at the famous Washington Museums. The centrepiece of the film will be bringing to life the Smithsonian Institution, which houses the world's largest museum complex with more than 136 million items in its collections, ranging from the plane Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams) flew on her non-stop solo flight across the Atlantic and Al Capone's rap sheet and mug shot to Dorothy's ruby red slippers, Fonzie's jacket from "Happy Days" and Archie Bunker's lounge chair from "All in the Family".
The sequel follows NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM which grossed over 580,000,000 US dollars worldwide. The film will reunite Ben Stiller with many of the cast from the original film - Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Ricky Gervais and Steve Coogan - as well as introducing several new characters from history which include Jonah Hill, Hank Azaria and Eugene Levy to name just a few. The centerpiece of the film will be bringing to life the Smithsonian Institution. No major film has been shot inside the Smithsonian in Washington..... until NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2.
