Synopsis

Directed by Ken Loach, the master of contemporary society, this story chronicles the issues confronting railway workers following the privatization of the British Railroad. More profoundly, the film is a relevant observation about the effects on workers everywhere stemming from the changes in the global economy. The film resonates with Loach's uncanny ability that he brings to each picture-a social and political conscience capable of simultaneously stirring an audience's humor and outrage.
