Synopsis

Having just graduated from college, New Jersey resident Annie Braddock (Scarlett Johansson) has yet to decide what to do with her life. Her mother is trying to coax her in to finding a respectable position in the business world, but working class Annie just can't settle comfortably into this niche.

A chance meeting leads to the unforeseen opportunity to take a nanny position with "the X's", a family who live on Manhattan's Upper East Side - home to the elite with a ritualistic lifestyle that wealth and success brings - a way of life completely alien to Annie.

Annie quickly learns that life is not as rosy on the other side of the tax bracket as she thought. Catering to Mrs X's (Laura Linney) every whim and her precocious son, Annie also tries to avoid the formidable Mr X (Paul Giamatti). When Annie falls for a gorgeous neighbor of the X's (Chris Evans) who she nicknames Harvard Hottie, she can no longer delay and must decide what she wants to do with her life.

THE NANNY DIARIES chronicles Annie's emotional and often humorous journey and is directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini
