Synopsis
Alone in Paris a Michael Jackson impersonator (Diego Luna) meets a beautiful Marilyn Monroe (Samantha Morton), which leads to Marilyn inviting Michael to join a commune of fellow impersonators located in the Scottish Highlands.
Here Marilyn shares her life with her partner Charlie Chaplin (Denis Lavant) and daughter Shirley Temple (Esme Creed-Miles) along with other impersonators Madonna (Melita Morgan), the Queen of England (Anita Pallenberg) Sammy Davis Jr (Jason Pennycooke) and James Dean (Joseph Morgan).
In a parallel story line, Werner Herzog plays a Latin American priest Father Umbrillo who learns his missionary of nuns can literally fly.
