Synopsis

Re-released on a new 35 mm print, MASCULINE FEMININE is set in 1960's France. Director Jean-Luc Godard's eleventh film explores the relationship between Paul (Jean-Pierre Leaud) a romantic young radical and Madeleine (Chantal Goya) an up and coming pop star, who he is smitten by. Featuring six of Chantal Goya's real-life 'ye ye' hits, the film moves through a series of probing interviews revealing attitudes then to current day politics and love.
