Synopsis

A PRIVATE BENJAMIN for the modern generation, MAJOR MOVIE STAR, stars Jessica Simpson (Dukes of Hazard, Employee of the Month) as Megan Valentine, a fluffy, bubble gum movie starlet who signs up to the army on a mission to find herself.

An actress, singer and TV personality, the multi-talented Jessica Simpson has three gold and two multi-platinum albums to her name. In Major Movie Star, and she is joined by a fantastic cast, including Vivica Fox (Kill Bill), Olesya Rulin (High School Musical) and Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy).

Pampered movie star Megan Valentine is down on her luck. She's broke, humiliated and even worse, she's in the public eye. When Megan discovers her boyfriend is far more enthusiastic about boys in the bedroom she decides it's time to take matters in to her own hands and find out who she really is... and what she really wants. But when she is shipped off to training camp it comes as a surprise that she has to swap hair stylists for helmets and film roles for rifles... She finds out that life in the military is not all camaraderie and sisterhood - it's hard work - and that's something she's never tried before.

Directed by Steve Miner (Lake Placid and Halloween : H20), Major Movie Star is a good old fashioned comedy that has barrels of laughs and something for all the family.
