Synopsis
From the creators and stars of hit TV shows PEEP SHOW and THAT MITCHELL AND WEBB LOOK, comes a hilarious new comedy film set in the world of stage magic. Harry (David Mitchell) and Karl (Robert Webb) are best friends and the greatest magic double act in the country. But after Karl is discovered with Harry's wife, and a guillotine illusion goes horribly and spectacularly wrong, their friendship and their careers are finished.
Now, the ultimate magic competition will draw Harry out of retirement to compete against the world's best magicians - and his deadly rival Karl. But with no tricks, no assistant and no chance, it'll take some kind of magic for Harry to settle the score.
Starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb (Peep Show, THAT MITCHELL AND WEBB LOOK), Jessica Stevenson (CONFETTI, SHAUN OF THE DEAD, SPACED), Darren Boyd (GREEN WING) and Peter Capaldi (THE THICK OF IT). Filming for MAGICIANS took place on location in London including Davenports (London's oldest magic shop which is beneath Charing Cross Station) and Chiswick Town Hall, Surrey and the East Midlands.
