Synopsis

When Bridget Cardigan (Diane Keaton) faces loses her home and comfortable lifestyle as her husband has been trying to find a job for a year, she decides to find herself a job and ends up as a janitor at the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City. Not knowing what to expect from fellow workers she soon realizes she has more in common that she ever thought feasible. She strikes up a friendship with single mom Nina Brewster (Queen Latifah) and Jackie Truman (Katie Holmes).

The bank daily destroys over a million dollars which both Nina and Jackie are employed to do. Temptation gives way and the three devise a scheme to divert some of the money for themselves, before it is shredded. Everything seems to be running smoothly until a slight error is uncovered and the three have to outwit the authorities in hot pursuit...
