Synopsis

LATE MARRIAGE is set in Israel and is the story of 31 year-old Zasa (Lior Ashkenazi). He is still unmarried and his well-meaning and traditional parents think he's running out of time. Their attempts at match-making are fruitless and it quickly emerges that Zasa has a second life, away from the gaze of his parents.

Winner of the Audience Award at the 2001 Jerusalem Film Festival, the film starts out as a hilarious comedy of manners, then effortlessly shifts in tone to become a thoroughly modern, knowing and adult exploration of sex, freedom and family.
