Synopsis

THE LAST SEPTEMBER is set in the country of north Cork in 1916 around a family of Anglo-Irish aristocrats (Michael Gambon and Maggie Smith) who are mostly left to fend for themselves when the end of British rule in Ireland looms. The film is about the story of their beautiful 18 year- old young niece Lois (Keely Hawkes) set against the political unrest of the time and caught between the British Army and the Republicans. Who will Lois fall for? The British Army captain (David Tennant) or the local terrorist (Gary Lydon)?
