One of six films in the Ealing 100 Anniversary Tour THE LADYKILLERS, director Alexander Mackendrick's third Ealing farce, is the final comedy produced by the famous British studio and one of its most celebrated.

Professor Marcus (Alec Guinness) is the leader of a crime syndicate planning a heist. Marcus rents some rooms in London from a sweet, eccentric old lady, Mrs. Wilberforce (Katie Johnson). The professor and his collaborators, Claude a.k.a. Major Courtney (Cecil Parker), Louis a.k.a. Mr. Harvey (Herbert Lom), Harry a.k.a. Mr Robinson (Peter Sellers), and One-Round a.k.a. Mr Lawson (Danny Green), go undercover as an unlikely string quintet using the rooms for rehearsal. However their plan goes anything but smoothly and is ultimately thwarted by their elderly landlady.
