Synopsis

The film profiles all aspects of the famous Paris Opera Ballet company, and is one of France's principal cultural institutions. Revealing how the company functions from the dancers to the instructors to the administration, it shows the audience the preparations for performances of seven ballets, including The Nutcracker by Rudold Nureyev and Medea by Angelin Preljocaj, widely considered to be the most important contemporary choreographer working in ballet today.
