Synopsis

Kevin Spacey stars as patient 287, who calls himself 'prot'. Delusional, but remarkably consistent in his details of visiting from a planet called 'K-PAX'. Earth is somewhat smaller than K-PAX, a class BA-III Planet - early stage of evolution, future uncertain.

One of the first things 'prot' notices is how bright this world is and how beautiful with its infinite color and variety of life (still nothing compared to when K-MON and K-RIL are inconjunction). Also beings here often use a form of 'shouting' - a primitive trait left over from their forest-dwelling ancestors.

Physically the only unusual finding was 'prot's' ability to see light at wavelengths well into the ultraviolet - 300 angstroms. However previous medical records indicate he was unresponsive to 300 milligrams of Thorazine (naturally this must be an error)!
