Synopsis

KNOWING is a gripping action/thriller on a global scale and stars Nicolas Cage and Rose Byrne, When a professor stumbles on some terrifying predictions about the future, he then feels compelled to embark on a plan of action in an attempt to stop them from becoming true.

1958. A group of elementary students submit pictures that are stored in a time capsule except one girl who completes her sheet with row upon row of apparently random numbers.

2008. After 50 years have lapsed a new generation of students is given the task of examining the capsule's contents. Caleb Koestler (Chandler Canterbury) ends up with the girl's mysterious sheet, which is filled with numerical data on it. Unable to fathom it, his dad, Professor John Koestler (Nicolas Cage) takes up the challenge and to his astonishment discovers that the encoded message accurately predicts the dates and death tolls of every major disaster over the last 50 years.

Gripped with a chilling sense of reality, John deciphers three further dates - the last of which reveals an event of global destruction implicating both John and Caleb - that are yet to happen!

John's attempts at alerting the authorities to these dramatic revelations are treated with scepticism and contempt. With an increasing sense of dread overtaking him, John instinctively takes it upon himself to prevent the mysterious girl's cryptic message from becoming a destructive reality, as he enlists the help of both the daughter, Diana Wayland (Rose Byrne) and granddaughter, Abby (Lara Robinson), of the now deceased author in a race against time...
