Synopsis

A musical comedy about a producer-singer Fred Graham "Petruchio" (Howard Keel) who is attempting to persuade his ex-wife Lilli Vanessi "Katherine" (Kathryn Grayson) to star in a show based on Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew but this is not an adaption of the play. This classic is filled with musical numbers by Cole Porter that includes 'Too Darn Hot', 'I Hate Men' and 'Brush Up Your Shakespeare'. It also stars Ann Miller as Lois Lane "Bianca" and is being re-released by BFI Films in its originally intended 3D format.
