Synopsis

Detective Mike Hammer (Ralph Meeker) takes on thugs and atomic secrets in Robert Aldrich's fast-paced thriller KISS ME DEADLY, an adaptation of the Mickey Spillane novel. One night after picking up a scantily clad hitchhiker, Mike Hammer then finds himself the victim of an assault after he's set on by a couple of thugs. Things turn from bad to worse when his sultry female companion ends up dead.

Hammer's subsequent investigation into her murder and hunt for the killers leads him along a dangerous path when he realises he is involved in an international conspiracy that could even threaten his life.

KISS ME DEADLY uses nightmarish imagery and along with a sinuous plot has an unforgettable shock ending. It's being re-released on new 35mm prints and was filmed in black and white.
