Synopsis

THE JIMMY SHOW is the story of an unsuccessful New Jersey inventor who decides on a complete career change and tries his hand as a standup comedian. Set in the 1970s and 80s it follows his disastrous attempt at this on the amateur-comedy circuit, but turning to drink as his troubles mount he battles to hold his family together.
