Synopsis

ISTANBUL TALES is a film, in which Istanbul, one of the most alluring cities in the world, tells its tales.

Audiences will discover that Little Red Riding Hood, the Pied Piper, Snow White and Cinderella are not merely the fairytale heroes of books, but that the talesmirror life in Istabul itself.

The film's screenplay was written by umit unal, a prolific writer who highlights how disparate lives can intersect and influence one another. With one murder, for example, the lives of not only the murderer and victim, but also a host of other people change forever. The most insignificant and unconscoius act can produce awesome consequences and the main character of one tale become a side role in another...

ISTANBUL TALES achieves a first in Turkey in that it was shot as a single story by five directors - umit unal (The Pied Piper), Kudret Sabanci (Snow White), Selim Demirdelen (Cinderella), Yucel Yolcu (Sleeping Beauty and Omar Atay (Little Red Riding Hood).
