Synopsis

The year is 2079. The Earth has been at war with an alien force for over a decade. Spencer Olham is a lauded governmental scientist whose latest work promises to save the planet. But suddenly he is accused of being an alien spy, and becomes the subject of a nationwide manhunt. Olham is faced with a two-tiered dilemma - can he prove his identity to the secret police in time to help mankind? Can he ultimately prove his identity to himself?

In IMPOSTOR, a psychological thriller from the future, one man faces this disorienting nightmare as he becomes a fugitive from the law, as well as friends and family, all of whom become convinced he is a danger to humanity. This is reality-bending story telling, Philip K Dick-style. Dick is the renowned sci-fi novelist whose terrifyingly true-seeming visions of the future have inspired such motion pictures as BLADE RUNNER and TOTAL RECALL. IMPOSTOR is taken from his 1952 short story of the same name, which is considered a classic of psychological science fiction. Full of twists and shocking surprises, Dick's short story inspired a whole new genre of sci-fi writing that delves into the themes of identity, self-knowledge and paranoia, ideas that simmer beneath the high-tech action of all his works.
