Genevieve (Nia Vardalos) is the owner of a flower shop in the heart of Brooklyn, New York City. A romantic by nature she has a unique take on the dating game and lives by her own set of rules. These comprise a strict '5- date' rule so she doesn't get dumped and never gets hurt.

Then she meets Greg (John Corbett). He's handsome, funny and new to New York. Before long both are falling for each other. Will this new romance cause Genevieve to reconsider her philosophy of love?

From the creative team behind the smash indie success, MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING, I HATE VALENTINE'S DAY is directed by Nia Vardalos, who also co-wrote it with Ben Zook and Stephen David.
