Synopsis

Pistol-packing grandma Madea delivers her own justice when her own is broken into by three teens - 16 year-old Jennifer (Hope Olaide Wilson) and her two younger brothers. She takes them to their only relative, Aunt April (Taraji P Henson) - a night club singer. April is not the best role model, as not only does she have a drinking problem but her boyfriend, Raymond, in already married to someone else.

This is the last thing that April wants - three kids to complicate her life further. However when a Mexican immigrant, Sandino (Adam Rodriguez), moves into April's basement room, they strike up a friendship. Sandino is trying to change around his own life and he challenges April to do the same. It begins to dawn on April that she is at a crossroads in her life - staying with Raymond or choosing a new life with possibilities of family, faith and maybe even love...
